We are so happy and grateful to announce that we hosted our first EXPLODE Marriage Conference this past October. We enjoyed a wonderful time with all those that attended. We trust that God moved on every couple's heart to be more intentional in their very special marriage relationship. This conference was the first of what we pray will be many. 

We are also excited to announce that "Not Just Another Marriage Workbook" was created and published during this past quarter. We did our best to ensure this workbook would be ready for the conference, and God made it happen.  Each couple attending the conference received workbooks hot off the press.

Ladies Life Coaching has been a wonderful addition to Heart Builder throughout 2022. It is such a blessing to partner with very capable women who may have been stagnant and now are starting to soar. God has been faithful in this new service and we will continue to offer individual and group coaching sessions throughout this next year to ladies.

Heart Builder is now actively seeking church opportunities to present EXPLODE Conferences and/or Pre-Marriage/Married BootCamps during this next year of 2023. We are ready to spread out our reach and look forward to the doors the Lord will open. We will continue to host quarterly BootCamps as well as other relationship events wherever the Lord leads.

As we embark on 2023 and what the Lord is calling us to do, we would like to ask for your prayer support. A strong prayer covering is truly needed and appreciate. Heart Builder will continue to prepare and equip couples with the information, tools and understanding they need to build healthy heart habits that lay the foundation for strong, committed, Christ-centered relationships based on God's holy word, the Bible. As we focus on building Wholly Healthy Hearts, we want to remind you to ask yourself, "How is my heart?"

As many of you know, God has a way of speaking to me through "hearts." I wanted to share a few of the ways He has shown me His closeness over the past couple of  months.

The first image you see is a tea cup with a tea infuser. I had mentioned to one of our children about how God speaks to me through hearts just appearing very randomly. Not only randomly, but in such manners that I could not have created the heart on my own. 

Fast forward to my birthday this year and I was given a set of two heart-shaped tea mugs. They are so cool. As you drink your tea, the heart becomes even more distinguished. It was only when I pulled out my infuser that I realized it too was in the shape of a heart.  I must admit that I was impressed at how our son and his girlfriend were so intentional in the choice of gift. They told me after opening the gift that it was in response to our conversation about hearts. Such a thoughtful gift.

The top middle image happened the other morning when I was putting on my makeup. I just happened to look down at my foundation brush that I had squirted two drops of foundation on as usual. However, when I looked, I saw a perfect little heart. Doug heard me from the family room exclaim, "Oh my goodness!" 

I went immediately to him and showed him the heart on the make up brush. He was as amazed as I was. Doug asked, "How did you do that"? Ha, Ha. I replied, "I did not do anything, this is God speaking to me again through hearts." I told him I wanted him to see this so no one believes I am doing this on my own. 

On to the far right top image. This time I squired lotion on my fingertips for my legs. Low and behold, there it was AGAIN, another heart! This was the very next day after the foundation brush had a heart on it. I guess that means God is always with me while I am getting myself ready :-)

The bottom left image is a STAIN, yes a STAIN. It was on the carpet in the floral section at HEB. I had gone to pick up balloons for my mom's surprise 85th birthday party and just happened to look down. I looked a few times because I thought I was making it up, but NOPE...it was indeed a HEART. It was at that moment that I knew everything was going to be perfect for my mom's special day and it was!

The bottom middle picture is one of "pasta hearts." Doug took me on a surprise birthday trip and we went to a Market Day while there. The very first booth we encountered had these "pasta hearts." Out of all my years of living, I have NEVER seen "pasta hearts." Perhaps, you have, but not me :-)

The last photo on this collage is of a wooden heart created by a man we met at a lovely little place in Bellville, Texas called "The Gathery." We were getting a cappuccino and again, I happened to look down only to see two shelves full of the most beautiful wooden hearts. They were different sizes and different woods. Of course, one of those beautiful hearts now sits on my desk at home. We enjoyed a nice conversation with the man who carved each of those hearts and were touched by his story.

Truth is I am not walking through my days expecting to see a heart. However, I know when a heart shows up in an unexpecting way, God is behind it. It is definitely one of His ways of showing me He is with me and I am on His heart. I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father that knows just what I need and when I need it. 

I share these special "heart sightings" because I am trusting it will help you remember He is with you ALWAYS! You may not see hearts, but I bet you have so many "God Happenings" going on in your life. The question we would do well to ask ourselves is, "Are we recognizing the ways He shows up for each of us?" Or, do we just chalk things up to coincidence? As a Believer, I know that God's heart desires to keep my eyes focused on Him and these unique heart sightings are just one way He gets my attention. 
 

The book of Proverbs speaks much about the heart, contrasting different kinds of hearts.
